Admisio, Inc. ("Admisio," "we," "us," or "our") values your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect personal information when you use the Admisio platform and related services (the “Service”).

2.1 Information You Provide Directly
We may collect the following information when you register for or use the Service:
- Name and contact information (email, phone number, address)
- Date of birth
- School and academic level
- Academic records, including:
- Grades, GPAs, and class rankings
- Test scores (SAT, ACT)
- Transcripts
- Course schedules and enrollment records
- Academic evaluations and progress reports
- Teacher or counselor notes
- Parent or guardian contact information (where applicable)
- Demographic information such as gender and ethnicity (if provided)
2.2 Information Collected Automatically
We collect standard analytics and usage data, including:
- Log data and device information
- Usage patterns and feature interactions
- Cookies and similar technologies used for analytics purposes only
We do not use third-party advertising cookies at this time.
3. Minors’ Privacy
- Admisio allows users under the age of 18 to use the Service with appropriate parental or guardian consent.
- Users under 13 are not permitted unless and until Admisio explicitly supports such use in compliance with COPPA.
- We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without verified parental consent.
- If you believe we have collected information from a child under 13 improperly, please contact us so we can delete the information.
4. How We Use Information
We use collected information to:
- Provide and improve the Service
- Generate personalized school recommendations
- Create admissions checklists and guidance
- Enable counselors to support students they work with
- Maintain platform security and performance
5. Use of Artificial Intelligence
Admisio uses third-party AI services, including OpenAI and Claude, to generate recommendations, tasks, coaching, and writing assistance.
- User inputs may be processed by these providers solely to deliver Service functionality.
- We do not use user data to train our own AI models.
- To our knowledge, third-party AI providers used by Admisio do not use submitted data to train their models by default.
6. Data Sharing and Disclosure
We do not sell or rent personal information.
We may share information only with:
- Authorized counselors who work directly with a student
- Service providers that support our operations (e.g., analytics, infrastructure)
- Legal or regulatory authorities if required by law
Schools and academic institutions do not have access to student data through the Service at this time.
7. Payments
Stripe is configured as a payment processor but is not currently used within the Service. If payments are enabled in the future, additional disclosures will apply.
8. Data Storage and Security
- Data is hosted using Heroku and related infrastructure providers.
- We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect personal information.
- Data is encrypted in transit and at rest where appropriate.
9. Data Retention
We retain personal information for as long as necessary to provide the Service or comply with legal obligations. Specific retention periods may vary depending on the type of data and applicable laws.
10. User Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to:
- Access and review your personal data
- Correct inaccurate information
- Delete your account and personal data
- Request a copy of your data
California residents may have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA).
11. FERPA Considerations
Admisio may store and process educational records that could be considered FERPA-relevant. Admisio acts as a service provider supporting students and counselors and does not disclose educational records to schools without authorization.
12. International Users
If you access the Service from outside the United States, your information may be processed and stored in the United States.
13. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updates will be communicated in-app and will be effective as of the stated date.
